As well as meeting the last three remaining northern white rhinos on the planet, you will ride through herds of the highly endangered Gravy’s zebra. Night Game Drive
Thanks to Ol Pejeta Conservancy’s private status it is able to offer night game drives, an activity not available in most parks in Kenya. A night game drive offers an opportunity to discover the Conservancy ‘after hours’. With the help of a filtered spot light, the drives can produce sightings of nocturnal animals. Lion, often sleeping during the day are often sighted alert and active at night, and even on occasion, the more elusive leopard.
Lion tracking
This is a unique opportunity to track and learn about the lions of Ol Pejeta. Guests can participate in helping us gather information needed to monitor the collared lions. In the event that the collared lions are inaccessible, other lion sightings are reported and the same identifying features such as whisker spots and ear tears and nose spotting recorded. It is a great way to learn about lions.
Jane Goodall chimpanzee sanctuary
This is an opportunity to learn more about the chimpanzees in our care and to gain exclusive access to feeding time. Chimpanzees are not indigenous to Kenya. One can also adopt a chimp.
Guided bush walk
The bush walk gives visitors the opportunity to learn about game trails and spoor identification as well as the insects, birds and smaller mammals of Ol Pejeta. The walk is not designed to be strenuous however a reasonable level of fitness is required, as you can expect to be walking for around two hours.
