Ol Pejeta

Porini Rhino camp is a small safari eco-camp. It is inside Ol Pejeta. It is a vast 90,000-acre wildlife area between the Aberdares and Mount Kenya and home to a variety of animals including the Big Five. Ol Pejeta is the largest sanctuary in East Africa for the black rhino and chimpanzees. The camp is in a secluded valley, on the banks of a seasonal river.

Accommodation

It consists of 7 spacious and comfortable guest tents, each having been carefully sited to take advantage of the surrounding views.  Each tent is tastefully furnished and has solar-power lighting and ensuite hot shower and flush toilet. The camp is specially designed to have minimum environmental impact.

Conservation

The conservancy’s aims to generate profits from wildlife tourism for reinvesting into community development in the local area. The camp staff is drawn from different Kenyan communities including members of the Maasai community from our conservancy projects at Selenkay in Amboseli and Olkinyei and Olare Motorogi in the Mara. The camp adheres to strict eco-friendly and responsible eco tourism principles.
